Erieversible

In 1997 a lass from Erie, PA married a bloke from England.  Shortly afterwards we moved to the Isle of Man.  Over 10 years (and two children) later it is time to move the family back to Erie.  As it turns out, in the end it is Erie County in NY rather than Erie, PA.

Erieversible was set up to record the latter stages of the move itself and the subsequent issues, problems and successes involved.  We invite questions and comments and are especially glad to provide assistance to other families making the move from the UK to the USA.

Or vice versa.  If there is anyone in the area facing a move to the UK and would like some helpful advice or just has questions…we are happy to help.

By the time Erieversible was started the permanent immigrant visa for the purely British member of the family had been obtained.  That process was lengthy but relatively straight forward.  The task of obtaining that visa is not specifically covered by Erieversible as it is concentrating on a forward-looking basis, but if anyone has questions on it we are happy to help if we can.
